A healthy weight can increase your chance of getting pregnant and having a healthy baby.
Being overweight in ladies affects the quality of EGGS while  in men it affects the quality of SPERMS and can reduce the chance of pregnancy - especially if you’re very overweight.

Being underweight can also reduce fertility as well do we should know that.

 Men and women should practice healthy eating, regular exercise and losing even a few kilos can improve the chance of pregnancy.
Being a healthy weight increases your chances of having a baby. If men or women are overweight, or underweight it can take longer for them  to conceive.

This is because it can cause problems with hormone levels, which can affect a woman’s menstrual cycle and the quality of her eggs.

Being overweight can also reduce the quality of a man’s sperm and cause erection problems and this will have serious consequences. It can also affect men's and women's libido (sex drive).




It's A myth to think that a man's weight doesn't affect a couple's ability to have a baby.


It's Fact that men  who are overweight or obese have worse sperm quality and are not as fertile as men who are a healthy weight.

How can I tell if I’m a healthy weight?

The best way is to measure your BMI or Basal Metabolic Index.


BMI is calculated as your weight in kg divided by the Squared of your height in meters 

BMI=  ( WEIGHT) kg / (HEIGHT2 )m
