YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE AND OVULATION IN SIMPLE ENGLISH
All what you need to know about
your menstrual cycle and ovulation.
A. Menstrual cycle in details
Are your menstrual cycles 28 days long? Do you ovulate on day 14 each month? Many ladies will answer yes, but for many, this is not the case because firstly most women feel that they're 28 days cycle since that's what they hear from the society or were told at school. A woman's menstrual cycle ranges from 21days to 35days meaning the shortest cycle is 21days and the longest is 35days. According to an Australian fertility website (YOUR FERTILITY).

Definitions ( In Simple English)
👉🏼Menstruation.
The time blood flows
out of your vagina
which you uses pad. This can be 3 to 5days.
👉🏼MENSTRUAL CYCLE:
How many days it takes
to see another blood in the month.
Example, if you saw your period in the month of June on the 21st of & it came again on 20th of July, you're 30days Cycle (counting from 21 June
and stop counting on the 19th of July).
NOTE : We were made to believe its 28days
cycle that's not true because different women have different
cycles ranging from 21 up to - 35days.
👉🏼OVULATION PERIOD:
This is time of getting pregnant fast without stress this is
two weeks before the next period.
Here's a simple way to calculate your
ovulation
period(unsafe period)
1. From the first day you see the blood.
2. Pick up a calendar mark as day 1 and until you see another blood then u stop marking
3. Count from day 1 which you marked until the day you stop marking.
4. You will get a value call that menstrual cycle then minus (⛔14) from that value will give you ovulation.
For example, say after counting you got 30days now take 30 -- 14 your answer will be 16. This will mean your cycle is 30 days and ovulation occurs on the 16th day for this period.
5. Mark 2 days after the 16th and 4 days before the 16th
6. You will notice you have 7 days
marked.
These 7 days are your ovulation/fertile days
also known as unsafe period.
Meaning if you have sex on any of these days then you have greater chances of being pregnant .
7. Do these every month and try and abide by these rules
EVERY OTHER DAY IS YOUR SAFE PERIOD or NON FERTILE DAYS.
For example:
🙏🏽If your period is assumed to be on 1st of June, 2020 and another on the 1st of July then you're 30 days
🙏🏽So 30 minus - 14 will be 16
16th day is the ovulation day
4 days before the 16th day which is 15,14,13,12
2 days after 16th June 2018 which is 17,18
🙏🏼 So 12th-- 18th June (7days) you're fertile or better still it's your fertile period..
**Don't forget that these 4days days before ovulation is to remind you that Sperm stays in the female
body for up - to 5 days , and egg from the female up to 2 days so any sexual
contact in between ovulation period will form something that has ears, eyes that's you will be pregnant.
N/B:The instance here is for ladies
with 30days cycle.If yours is
28 then it's 14days instead of 16days
See picture below
B . Menstruation and ovulation problems
If you are having trouble conceiving and do not have regular periods each month, you may experience problems with ovulation.
Ovulation problems are one of the most common causes of infertility.
What is ovulation?
Ovulation is the release of an egg from your ovaries , Mathematicaly you get your ovulation as follows (Total cycle ➖14 gives you ovulation) . Below are cycles and their ovulation days .
👉🏼If you're 21days you ovulate on
day 7.
👇🏼👇🏼
👉🏼If you're 22days, you ovulate on day 8.
👉🏼If you'r 23days you ovulate on day 9
👉🏼If you'r 24days you ovulate on day 10.
👉🏼If you'r 25days you ovulate on day. 11
👉🏼If you'r 26days you ovulate on day 12
👉🏼If you're 27days you ovulate on day 13
👉🏼If you'r 28days you ovulate on day. 14
👉🏼If you'r 29days you ovulate on day 15
👉🏼If you'r 30days you ovulate on day 16
👉🏼If you're 31days you ovulate on day 17
👉🏼If you'r 32days you ovulate on day 18
👉🏼If you'r 33days you ovulate on day 19
👉🏼If you're 34 days you ovulate on day 20
👉🏼If you'r 35 days you ovulate on day 21
.Now to understand the ovulation process, biologicaly picture your ovaries, inside your ovaries lie many ovarian follicles. These follicles are tiny sacs that contain your eggs. Keep that picture in mind as we explain how ovulation works: for a woman with a 28days cycle.
✔️On day 1 of your menstrual cycle (the first day of #bleeding), several follicles and eggs begin to mature and develop.
✔️About 2 weeks later, the dominant (most mature) egg bursts out of its follicle and out of the ovary.
✔️The egg travels out of the ovary and into the fallopian tube.
✔️When waiting sperm penetrate the egg in the fallopian tube, fertilization occurs.
✔️The fertilized egg travels along into your uterus where it may implant into the uterine wall and wow congratulations👏.
✔️When #ovulation, #fertilization and #implantation are healthy and successful, pregnancy begins!
✔️If problems with #ovulation, #fertilization, or #implantation occur, you may have #fertility #problems. If you suspect that you have irregular cycles, and do not ovulate on or around day 14, ask your doctor for help. Ovulation detection methods can help you learn more about your cycles.
Hormones and Ovulation.
For ovulation to go smoothly, your hormones must be in balance. The hormones follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), estrogen, luteinizing hormone (LH), and progesterone all play an important role in the ovulation process. Here is how these hormones work.
👉Follicle #stimulating #hormone and estrogen- After your period starts, the ovulation cycle begins. Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) is released. Your ovarian follicles and eggs begin to mature and develop. Estrogen levels rise as your body prepares for ovulation.(picture)
👉Luteinizing hormone- About 2 weeks after your period starts, #luteinizing hormone (LH) levels rise sharply. This is known as the LH surge. Within 1 to 2 days, you will ovulate and #progesterone levels will rise.
👉Progesterone- Following the LH surge and ovulation, progesterone levels rise. This rise in progesterone prepares your uterus for possible implantation of a fertilized egg.
Ideally, your hormones will work in perfect harmony and ovulation will be seamless. (Picture).
👉Unfortunately, hormone disorders are common causes of #infertility and ovulation problems.
#THESE ARE MAJOR SIGNS THAT WILL TELL YOU, YOUR OVULATION could be AROUND.........
1.Headache
2.Body temperature rises(sometimes you
touch a girl and her body is hot but she is
not sick)
3.Dizziness(feeling of tiredness and
sleepiness )
4.Breast tenderness/size increases just
like when you are menstruating.
5.Increased sex drive (feeling your body some kind)
6.Light cramping or pain on one side of the pelvis
7.Abdominal bloating.
8.Heightened sense of smell, taste or vision(you eat more too).
9.Vagina mucus becomes slippery
(if you
notice such, put it in between fingers.. ...it
stretches like thick catarrh or snail
mucus...colorless just like egg whites.
